writing in kronos book - not getting paid
Permalink

So last week I had to go to a meeting at another store, I clocked in for the day, and was told to write the time in the kronos time log book so i could be clocked out for the day after the meeting. Well i forgot to write it in the book so I only got paid for 32 hours!!! I get that I didn't write it in the book but i had clocked IN for the day, why didn't they see that I just forgot a clock out punch? Now it'll be at least another week before I get paid for it and that's only if they pay attention and give me the hours.... what the hell.

I see your payroll clerk isn't very good at their job either.  When I was on jury duty, it took me three weeks of nagging before I got paid.  It showed up in Kronos but the problem was they didn't tell it how many hours I was suppose to get.

Why is there a Kronos book? Why not just make the associated have to login to an online portal and then enter their information. It could either then be transmitted to Kronos is MGMT approves the "Edit" or manually edited in Kronos if the systems are not connected. Having a portal would make someone more accountable due to time stamps of the entry.

Your fault dont blame other for your incompetence. People have their own problems and lives to deal with. Youre not entitled for people to hold your hand

The people that do payroll (at least when I did it) cant make up a shift. If youre missing a punch and theres no paper stating that, with a managers signatur...we automatically give you a 15 minute shift. they only give the payroll clerk so much time a day to fix every issue, so its impossible for them to find you and ask you every time. I hated doing it, but especially for the people that are notorious for missing punches, they learn quickly not to.

Fill out an over ride slip and go back to the store and get a manager that saw you in that day to sign it. Also talk to your book keeper and most will be willing to fill in the missing hours. legally Kroger is to pay you for all time worked.

I got a payroll advance today so it's not that big of a deal, but it's in the timeclock book again this week so if it's still not fixed, then i don't see what else i can do to remind them.
