A lot of store are having a Co work 3rds to babysit the stock crew.  Every stock crew is a joke in every store I've worked at.

Yeah they've had 3rd shift asm's in a lot of the stores in Cincy. I've wondered what they do all night? Are they basically just a glorified night lead?

No one at my store wants to do night crew. Night crew members are pulling over to day staff because they're sick of it. We only have 1 reliable full time. Even though there's like 6 others. The other 6 barely if at all show up to work and do a half @$$ed job when they're here. Most quit 6 months to a year later and the cycle starts all over again. Management started pulling day crew over to night or partial swing. (Which I ended up getting involved with.) Midnight cashier is now partial night crew due to the lack of staff. Due to new rules for safety because of a recent incident if only one member of night crew shows up they must close the store and leave. Come back at 5 am when the store reopens. Day customers need to be more appreciative of night crew because they make the store run. Instead they b-i-t-ch and squabble about how they can't get their *** item.

Shouldn't it be sufficient that there is a night crew manager there without having to call in the regular (daytime) store managers to work overnights?

That's always been in our Cincy contract, if there's only one person in the store, a second person must come in or else the first person can't be there. This happened a few times when i worked in a small store.

Started this before I left. Don't know what they do all I know is there is one ASM that is dedicated overnight. Saw him last week his shirt tale was out his feet was turned outward when he walked and he looked exalted.
