The women are going to win and kroger is going to have to pay for it. I wouldn't be surprised if the manager and HR at that store are given the boot as well. The women even tried to compromise and were given a big "**** you". It's a fairly open and shut case of religious discrimination on kroger's part.

This lawsuit is complete bull****, anyone who works for this company knows that stupid heart has nothing to do with lbgt rights and is the "feed the human spirit" logo.... yes if it was actual religious discrimination that would be one thing but this is clearly just two employees trying to start crap.

lets talk about the ACTUAL problems with this company.

If its to this point, the EEOC has already tried resolving without a lawsuit being filed. I'm really surprised the associated just didn't take a black marker to the sticking and solve the issue. Do you really think a STR Manager or other Associate is going to say anything about the heart logo not being the right color or not showing?

That is what I did. My FES asked about it but I dodged the question and answer. I don't think the heart has anything to do with Gay Pride.

I think it is strange that it was two people from the same dept (Deli) that filed. I read somewhere that this particular store had another similar incident happen some time back.

You know what I hate about it?  The fact that the gay community uses a rainbow as their symbol.  Now, you can't put a rainbow using the actual colors of the spectrum on anything without people thinking you support gay rights.  They need to come up with something else.

I have been wearing an apron that is a solid color that is not blue since the aprons were implemented. I have not not received a single comment about it from the MGMT or my department heads.

I think the logo is too similar to the girl lover logo here : https://file.wikileaks.org/file/FBI-pedophile-symbols.pdf

Its funny, so with the Associate/EEOC thinking anything, anything multi-color represents LGBTQ? It will be interesting if the company has to provide context for how the logo was developed and background. I guess Google/Chrome, NBC, Microsoft, eBAY and every other multi-color logo has mean something. This lawsuit is a perfect example of the government fighting a lawsuit that is trivial, compared to fighting something that is actually meaningful. Its VERY interesting these associates were from the same store.....sounds like they might just be trying to get some $$.

I can understand Associates from differing parts of the country, but 2 Associates from the same store? Sounds like they just wanted to start some type of issue and decided to work together or the store used the uniform issue to justify the remove of the associates (when other issues existed).

Kroger is on the verge of receiving another lawsuit from me. I have been wearing my black apron, for the same personal reasons, and my managers told me that if I don't start wearing the blue apron then I will probably get called up to the office.  I have an attorney in my family, and he is ready to file a lawsuit if I get fired over it. If Kroger has any common sense they will change the aprons ASAP. Otherwise they will be opening up the floodgates for lawsuits.

I colored the rainbow heart on my apron black to better reflect my own cold dead heart.

However...

...

I hope Kroger has to pay massive lawyer fees to fight whatever ridiculous nonsense this is because I hate them.

It's a bull$hit case. American corporations can't win in today's butt tender / socio-politically insane environment. If Kroger hadn't created their emblem policy the alphabet soup group woulda been suing them. Can't win.

I didn't think that's what the promise heart met? They butchered the definition of it and used a religious excuse not to wear it. yes I'm christan too and don't highly think of gays and lesbians. I've met god and jesus and trust me if you go that path you will go to hell. He warned me not to go that route. I did not.

When you're refering to God as in the Supreme Being, it should always be capitalized.  The same goes Jesus since it's a proper name.

The LGBT+ community has been using that Pride flag for decades and is not going to abandon it cause an internet rando doesnt like it. Gilbert Baker designed the Rainbow Pride flag in 1978. Its not about to be abandoned.

These employees must be stupid, that heart has never been a rainbow or associated with LGBT+ Pride. Have they ever actually seen a Pride Flag?
