Have y'all changed over to the having to come in early and spot everything? Can't leave aisle and everyone has to take a break at the same time? Who came up with this crap. Work off the pallet and not touch 4 times. So dumb and adds more work.

Nope.

What state are you in?

It works at some stores.  Some aisles are too narrow for pallets and some stores do not have enough carts to break down trucks.  I don't like spotting everything myself.  Double trucks build walls in front of the shelves.  I worked at a store that took 8 people 3 hours to spot a double truck.  That is 24 hours spent.  I like working the veggie aisle off pallets myself.  But the person running the soup aisle has to wait for me to un burry their stuff.

The lunch and breaks is at the night managers or store managers discretion.  Or, they were told to do it like that by corporate.

KY. Was told this was sent down by corporate. Every store has to do this and we will be having people come in and watch to make sure we are. We have to pass. I agree. Taking it off pallets and walking it down the aisle just to pile up instead of just working it takes more time and more work. Getting the pallets down the aisles when doing, this gets near impossible.

Now with all the covid restrictions you,try to pile everyone together working? How is that smart? We have to have spotters in at 8 spotting while store is open. I'm sure customers love that. Then rest of crew comes in at 10 to start with bulk. After bulk is done everyone takes a break at the same time.

Yeah it takes us usually 3.5 hours on double truck nights. We break Peyton down like normal on pallets but then we have to go spot it all. Normally when grocery came in we would drop, off what's on another aisle then take the rest of the pallet to whichever aisle is belongs. But not anymore. Everything is just spotted. Right now several part timers are working 40 hours. Can't wait till they try to cut hours and see this can't work with a limited crew.
