SCO closing
Permalink

Closing SCO sucks so much especially when you have really bad anxiety. I have to make sure no one steals and everyone is out before the doors lock and I don't even understand how to do everything- they just threw me there and expected me to figure out how to close on my first SCO shift. It was nerve-wracking and now I have working til close on SCO two nights in a row after only working that kind of shift once. F-ck this. The front end people will hopefully run me by it when I ask them how to do it tonight because if not...well it'll be a damn mess that's what it will be.

Stop worrying about theft. If they try to crack down on your for not stopping theft file an ethics report because as employees we can't stop theft. I did it a couple times when book keeping was being di-cks about us not stopping gift card theft. Not our problem but sure blame the middle man.

Leave at your clock out time and if customers are still in the store that's management's problem or n.c.'s problem. Just baby sit the machines, clear the error messages, baby sit customers and that's all you do. I stopped cleaning because our positive rates keep going up and our cleanign materials are half as2ssed at best.

I have to agree with anon. Don't worry about theft so much. If the company actually cared about that sort of thing they wouldn't have implemented SCO in the first place.

Your main goal is to help customers, things are cleaned, and your machines are finished. Good luck, friend.

At my store I got sick of people hate bashing it so I started walking away after the registers close at 8pm or 9 pm. If I see a big order start to scan I'll walk up and offer to call for a register. I'm just tired of dealing with the mean little sob's that start cussing at it. Because their technology incompetent. I hate to say it but they can rot in hell for all I care.
