If we are forced to wear masks again then it must be bad enough to get Hero pay again.

Contact your union and demand something be done. Ive got 12 people at my store who agreed and will be doing so. Pass ot around.

If the union wont fight for hours or fairness then we at least deserve that. Dont let them scr_ew us anymore.

Sounds like a fair argument to me.

Question.....With your theory everyone with a job should then qualify for "Hero" pay.  How is anyone screwing you? With your theory a doctor or nurse should be receiving "Hero" pay also, would other industries also qualify? Would workers required to wear a hardhat, safety vest or any other safety protection also qualify?

COVID is here to stay and everyone has to protect themselves the best they can.  Also, have you watched the news? Everyone that is against Masks and Vaccines always seems to get COVID, THEIR STORY CHANGES REAL FAST!!!!!!

biden is requiring everyone vaccinate. Were not just in masks again, government is forcing vaccines on us. I am vaccinated but that was my choice.

how much harder will it be to get people hired if they have to vax or test weekly? no

Testing weekly is unrealistic and going to be very hard to do, but at least stores with RX will have a staff already have knowledge.  I would think vaccination might be a requirement with new hired going forward.  I'm guessing most places will make it a requirement, which is the point of these new rules/changes.

So this became your soap box for advocating your views on covid? This is about our company taking away so much from us and continuing to screw us over. I am saying we deserve something from the crap we are going through as workers and if they wont give us hours or better pay and will shut down stores to justify getting their bonuses then we all deserve something.

I've nothing against getting vaccines so why that came up is just a way for you to feel justified in your argument i guess. Take your views to a covid forum and stop trying to sow discontent for fairness in a company that used to be something i cherished till this year. If you aren't for us you're obviously corporate so go rub Rodneys butt some more and accept the company is turning to **** and we all want more than ****ty leadership.

Covid is here to stay, i think we all know that but that doesn't mean every time we turn around something else should screw us over and we just accept it. As it is im looking for a new job and most but not all of the people at my store are too. We deserve something before they push everyone worth it out the store. Watched a 17 year Kroger employee tell a manager this company is dogsliit and walk out laughing. They Begged him to stay at the door, more or less. He now works for a company that treats him well.

So i suppose my argument isnt we should be getting something for wearing masks. Its that corporate should watch their asses and perhaps take better care of its good workers.

That better? Now you can leave knowing your childish attempt at making people feel like I am some sort of advocate for antivax has failed.

Ok, this is now an argument I can support and understand.  COVID prevention is a side concern/comments.  I completely agree, the company has cut costs everywhere they could, and now "labor" has been their latest area (not sure what else they can cut).  In reality, they have been cutting labor for the last 10 years, sales up, labor EVEN to last year or lower.  Yes, some jobs have been eliminate, job duties changed, but with more product in and out, customer count...... Its funny, the amount of $$ spend on replacing perfectly good equipment is insane, with a new VP, there is always $$$ spend to make whatever changes happen.  Also, if you have ever went through a new store opening and or remodel, some much extra $$$ is wasted.  The one new store opening I remember $1Millon in equipment wasn't used and was basically disposed of before opening and after some was replaced after opening.  Hell, its saying something when after opening Facility Eng. has to basically some in an "fix" all the stuff that was done wrong.  Leaking roofs, doors to no where, rooms with no real purpose.  The company wants to cut costs, but some departments know how to just build wasted $$ into the plans.
