Dear customers paying with cash but refusing to touch anything else.

Do you not realize how dirty cash is? It is dirtier than the pin pad you're touching to enter your discount number. It is dirtier than the conveyor belt your items are going down. It is dirtier than the reusable bags you bring in. it is dirtier than the shopping cart you leave your items in. Stop being @$$es about wanting to touch the receipt. The fu-cken receipt is the cleanest part of the damn order. Grocery stores are not clean nor sanitary. We've pretty much given up cleaning check stands and I refuse to unless it's noticeable.

It's the opposite here.

I still have a lot of elderly customers licking their fingers to count out bills.

Where's covid when you need it?

How evil of you to wish any harm on the elderly. If you are lucky, you'll get old some day too.  And time goes by fast......you'll be old and cranky before ya know it!!!

A bit besides the point, BUT people who have lived a long time and counted dirty bills while licking their fingers are actually likely to be highly immune to more viruses. Their bodies have probably been exposed UNTOLD GOBS of times to all kinds of bacteria, viruses, germs of every description so their bodies have robust immune systems that are stronger and kick in when needed.

The idea of becoming immune to more diseases by early exposure to lots of germs used to be COMMON KNOWLEDGE that used to be acknowledged by the true medical experts in that field, (remember hearing about the kids who played in the dirt all the time,  as contrasted with the super clean kids that were practically sterilized every day by their helicopter parents and later were sickly all the time???)  but over the last couple years, with Covid, the LEFT doesn't want anyone to think about that any more.........they would LOVE you to stay SUPER SCARED, extra cautious 24/7, surrounded by hand sanitizers, covered with multiple layers of useless face diapers, even wearing them outside, or inside your car by yourself (how stupid and totally inane), and frantically scrambling for every new vaccine shot that becomes available.

Big Pharma (Pfizer and others) has BILLIONS and BILLIONS of $$$$  to gain from blind acceptance of all the new vaccines.  But they pooh-pooh other potential remedies that are much much cheaper to produce........ Ivermectin has undergone studies that show it is a  safe prescription drug, and it has been on the market and used for several decades for various ailments including resisting parasitic infections.   Ivermectin is cheap and is prescribed for millions of people in other countries around the world, but the drug companies won't make much money from that product if it's sold to help reduce the chances of catching Covid.  Always remember............Watch the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupidity like this is why I haven't worn a mask anywhere in about a year. I eat out a lot, for example. It's how I make time to read books. I see other people come in and wear a mask to the register, but then go and sit down in the dining room to eat, as if the air quality is any different thirty feet away. They'll even put the mask back on if they have to walk away from their table for napkins, bathroom, whatever. If people truly cared, they'd go through the drive-through or order online. This behavior is the definition of being "sheeple." And the people who even wear it while alone in their car... good god, I feel sorry for them.

When I see people wearing a face diaper strapped across their face while completely alone inside their car with the windows rolled up, I can't help but think "well, that's about the same to me as if they had a big sign painted across the side of their car that reads "THE DRIVER OF THIS CAR IS A MORON".    (One tiny exception: if it is freezing cold and you are trying to keep your face warm until the heater starts working really good!!!!)
