Are we able to use personal days

for calling out sick?

Co worker called out sick but was told we can't use personal days for being sick.

It all really depends on your Manager, while normally this isn't allowed, its something a Manager can do it they wanted to.  With doing something like this, they might get in weird situations, if someone just didn't feel like working or wanted the day off and didn't get it.

Once again you wasted a bunch of words spouting out a nothing answer when in reality you don't know

Most states allow day one sick pay. Just ask a manager to put in your sick pay and they'll input it for the duration of the shift.

Yes you can use any vacation/sick/personal day for calling out sick. Just fill out a manager over ride or request the manager to input the pay. I've done it a time or two. I had a short 5 hr shift and input for 8 hrs thus actually earning 3 additional hrs. It's technically not time clock fraud because you're just cashing out your sick pay.
