New Schedule

The front end just got the new schedule for next week. Most of the senior employees still have their original scheduling, a few, like me, are just slightly changed, and the others got hit pretty hard. Some have even talked about leaving and the other employees that got hit but are staying are going to be taking hours. This is probably happening at all the other stores as well so may divine intervention, good vibes, and positive thoughts be sent to the other employees that were impacted, and that corporate gets their comeuppance.

And all this corporate greed-based a$$holery is ramping up even as the country is still facing the biggest worker shortage in its history. Nobody any where wants to work, companies all over are desperately needing help, whole industries are going out of business.....................................and this is the repsonse. 'We own you. Fk you, pay me!'

I saw on the news last nite that Target and several other stores reported huge losses and drops in their stock prices in the last 2   or 3 days,  also, just noticed that Kroger stock price has dropped 16 % in the last 30 days. (Source- just checked here):

SO, you know what that means.  Kroger Corp thinks they have to Cut even more labor hours because it is getting bad!

Target was blaming (part of)  their problems on the high cost of fuel for trucks delivering stock to their stores, and other energy costs including store heating and cooling bills.

This all goes back to Biden and the Democratic party who want to get rid of fossil fuels.  Biden actively started persecuting the oil industry here in the United States on the first day he was in office.   Fact.

Windmills and solar panels on top of houses are NOT going to power our economy no matter how much we would love it to do so!!!!

Haha, its called capitalism.  Everyone wants someone to blame, but then someone to look out for them on every aspect of their life.  No one wants new laws and regulations, but then get made Government isn't looking over their shoulders if something happens.  Oh.....have you noticed how much Oil companies made in profit recently? If you really think of all the would problems its because bankers/investors control everything. Who sets the price of oil? Investors..... Who also bully companies to continually make more and more money year over year, if your flat your company is basically 'worthless' in their eyes.  The problem is Republicans don't necessarily want progress, just the status que and or do anything to lower taxes, regardless of future consequences.

Was Biden personally responsible for the baby formula shortage? Does he have personal responsibility for why the factory shut down? If he would have kept the factory open and another baby dies due to tainted product, he would have been blamed for that too.  Why don't we just blame the parties involved, the companies and or Wall Street who want more profit and or less expenses, which the cause all these issues.

Yes, I will agree that the causes and results is VERY VERY VERY Complicated. There are no easy answers.  Capitalism is still the best system even with all it's faults. The reason Capitalism can never be PERFECT is because humans are inherently NOT good.   There will always be greed in any system because people are always looking for a way to make more money, even at the expense of other people. That's the nature of Mankind, whether we admit it or not.

However, Socialism and Communism have both been tried over and over again, in many different countries over the last century plus, and has NEVER worked ---- it may start out as a "good idea" --  the proponents always act like they are doing it for the good of the common person, but it never actually works because it ends up with wickedness and greed taking over completely (much, much much worse than any plain capitalist system) and so eventually most people end up being either the VERY RICH and the VERY POOR , and there is very small middle class.

Eventually MILLIONS of people are killed in the name of Communism and/or Socialism.   If you don't believe the number of people who have been slaughtered under those two systems of government, you need to do some serious research and find out about Mao, Stalin, Mussolini, and many others.  The total people murdered runs into the Hundreds of Millions.

SO, even with its faults (yes, greed taking over to some extent, especially by the leaders of some companies, such as Kroger), our system of Capitalism is still the best one ever invented in the world.  It believes in the common average person being able to grow and success by using their own inherent talents and having the freedom to make their own decisions and grow their own businesses, without total governmental control (which happens under Communism and Hard Socialism systems). (And some people point to Denmark or Sweden as "socialist", actually that is wrong..... they have a system of Socialism Lite, combined with Capitalism.

About BABY FORMULA --    Yes I do put some of the blame of the Baby formula shortage directly on Biden and the Democrats.  There are only four companies in the US that make baby formula. One of the biggest (Abbott) has a huge factory in Michigan that was shut down by the government because of FOUR PEOPLE who complained about their babies getting sick.  I have not heard of ANY babies actually dying.  Not sure how true those four complaints were, but the government went crazy and shut down the whole factory in February.  They never mention the exact details on the news--------they just now said they are going to re-open the factory in a couple weeks. Meanwhile, Biden trying to get companies to order  product from over seas sources.

The whole thing is a terrible mess and  Biden is  not really helping.   He barely know what day it is and is having a harder and harder time reading his teleprompter.    The mainstream news is whitewashing his problems with news conferences. Watch some of the clips on Youtube of him stumbling and bumbling his way through news conferences where he tries to read his teleprompter and can't figure out what his supposed to be reading. And then, if he goes "off script" and ad-libs-------then the **** really starts hitting the fan.

If you're classified p.t. legally they are not required to give you any set hours. The company cut hours again every where and even our leads are pissed. Our fes has been in a cushy 40 hr a week mon-fri job set time frame for 7+ years and he's pissed that his schedule has suddenly changed. He's now only p.t. fes and must fill the hour void with cashier shifts. Boy is he pissed. In most  contracts so long as you earn a specific number of hrs each week you're still classified f.t. I noticed our area has cut hrs just enough to remove f.t. status from staff. If your area is doing this contact yoru union asap to get them to stop this practice. It is against company rules to wrongfully reduce hrs in this manner.
