I have lost my total upmost respect for seniors. Due to working grocery. I have zero respect for seniors now. I was taught to respect seniors but how  can I respect you people if you're not even respectful to those younger than you? I have lost total respect for seniors.

This is a totally ridiculous post.  If that was at true statement , then that means you have no respect for ANY and ALL older people including your grandma, your grandpa, your uncle, your aunt, your elderly sweet neighbor that lives down the street, or any older people within your family or community.   You have no respect for older people who have fought in wars to keep you safe. You don't respect any older people who work hard in the community, such as teachers, doctors, nurses, policemen, pastors, firefighters, grocery store workers, librarians, historians, retired military personnel, hard working people of every type of job you can think of.

There are tens of millions of seniors in the US. You have never met over 99.999 percent of those senior citizens. You know nothing about them.

That's the same type of hateful, prejudiced outlook that someone could theoretically have with any other group of people that have been lumped together just because of some characteristic that they  (in most cases) have no control over --- - blacks, whites, redheads, Asians, young people, gay, straight, long haired, short haired, curly headed, people with beards, people with tattoos, gray headed people, it's ALL STUPID and POINTLESS.

I know I am completely wasting my time to bother answering your post, but it bugs me that you would make such a dumb "blanket statement". And yes I am sure you will read this reply.

Grow up, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember one day you will be a senior. Like when people say this about Children, I say you used to be one.

Today's seniors are very different from those of yester-year.

Today's version is the same as most adult as~sholes walking around, just old.

I agree. Most seniors are ass holes. Its like they only reason they live is to make others miserable! A lot of them also seem to be jealous. When I was your age I never had a car like that! And these old women.. you need to cover up more! Why? Jealous you didnt have boobs like this? Seniors need to check them selves and know their place. You had your time and now its ours! #norespectforseniors

Seniors are hateful because life continues to get even worse as you get older, if you can fathom that! You'll see when you get there.

I lost respect for seniors too. They use their age added with aging memory just to get what they want and complaint.

They piss me off, walking so damn slow and in the way. And they get so easily frustrated over the most mundane things. Might be their blood pressure. I mean they get ragefully angry if their item isn't in stock, or something gets rearranged, or if there are only large produce bags and no small ones. It's absurd. And they keep effin' telling me that we rearranged stuff. Thanks, I hadn't noticed. And I didn't rearrange anything. I just work here! So shut up about it! Must I hear it from every effin' one of you, all day, every day?!!! Now i'm ragefully angry, frustrated, and irritated too!

Yes, I know! Kroger pays people to move the breakfast bars to where the Pop Tarts are and the Pop Tarts to where the breakfast bars were instead of paying me a fair wage! I hate it too, but I don't want to hear your incessant whining about it also!

Same. I kinda wish I could just shove them outta the way or something. There are some real rude ones that think they own the store and everything in it. Crying about double bagging crying about no go carts to use no place to sit to rest. On and on

With advancing age and phyhsical / mental ailments seems to come this increased sense of entitlement. 'I'm old so I've earned the right to speak my mind!!'

How does one equal the other? confuse

And yea they're slow. We get that. But they need to move the fk out of the center of the aisles and the entrances / exits. The ones who I know ignore me saying 'excuse me' I shoulder butt. Not hard enough to put em on the floor with a busted hip, but I bet they remember next time, even with their early stage dementia.

Here in the midwest there used to be a grocery chain called Eagle Foods. It was WONDERFUL for old people, it literally caterd to them specifically. ---Also charged a ****load for their merch, but customer service was 100% their thing. BUt apparently they went under, and now standard grocers are plugged with these old bags.

I don't blame seniors in general, although there seems to be more of them now who complain about the smallest things. OTOH, I think it's a society-wide thing, and not just seniors. I've heard of some restaurants in my state, for example, that are getting tired of customers incessantly complaining, calling people rude names, acting unpleasant and unruly, belittling others, threatening negative reviews to the restaurant and staff and just being relentlessly impatient with wait times. And these are not all just older people. A lot of it has to do with the fact that many of these businesses just can't seem to hire enough help or find employees that want to work those jobs. But, the customers aren't having any of it! They want what they want and they want it now! And I'm sorry...That's just not how the world works. I get it that COVID has made people lose their social skills, but I have to stand in line for things the same as everyone else. No special treatment for me, so why should it be for anyone else???
