I can not tell you how frustrating it is when I come to a register only to find someone failed to sign out. Then having to get a manger or the lead to force kick them out. This makes the cashiers look bad because we can't just pull over a customer. They must now wait a minute or two so we can sign in and then help them. 

Please remember to sign out of the damn registers when you're done! Please! 

Quit using the excuse "Well I forgot." NO you did it intentionally!

Please stop using the default pass codes and use more than a two digit pass code. These are easy to hack and someone with fast ten-key can hack your passcode in <2 minutes. My store actually gives a verbal warning on their file if they fail to change the default pass code after 30 days of being assigned a checking number.
