Is the My Time system eliminating paper checks?

As the question in the subject line stated, are the paper checks being eliminated because of this new system? Because not only on the last two holidays, Labor Day and Columbus Day, but for two weeks in a row I haven't received anything. Not only that, but I was talking to my HR rep and he informed me that a  bunch of new hires didn't get theirs before they had a chance to set up direct deposit. Speaking of which, I'm going to do the same but I would still like some answers to this situation.

I bet it is one day there will be no cash at all. Everyone will have to do direct deposit and we will live in a cashless society. Whether it be during the tribulation or before it will happen.

By tribulation I mean Jesus coming back all Christians will be gone. Think this world is bad now?

I do not know if this is the problem you have but I can try to help you test if it is.  I heard that some people got their paper checks a week later than normal.  Some people did not get paid at all when MyInfo was rolled out.

There was a technical issue when converting from ExpressHR to MyInfo in my district.  I saw an email that listed more than 50 people did not get paid because a check was never cut for them.  The issue was resolved quickly last Monday after a District manager made a call to HR.  The Direct Deposits and paper checks were processed on an expedited payroll cycle.

To test:

Check to see if you have a paystub on MyInfo for the weeks you are asking about.  Use a desktop terminal at work.  There seem to be bugs on the phone app for some people.  Log into Feed.  You should be able to find a link for MyInfo or search for it.  Click "Company Single Sign-on" and it should open a log in prompt like for MyTime.  Log in. Watch the video or the page might not work.

If you goto payslips, there should be several links.  The bottom one will be a payslip for the last 6 months or so.  The rest are the weekly payslips going forward.  You have to click the link to download it.  Wait for it to process.  Then, you have to open it.  If a box listing the files you can open doesn't appear in upper right, try clicking the 3 dots in upper right and click downloads to see the download list.  I do not know how it looks on a smart phone.

If there is not a paystub for those weeks on that list, then a check did not get cut for you.  Ask your store manager to help you get it corrected.

If you do have payslips showing for the weeks you are asking about, then the paper check is lost somewhere else.

OP here. I have had lost paychecks sent to the store with the help of HR. But the last time was just recently and I didn't get my check nor did the next one come in the mail. If the checks being mailed out are lost or stolen or if they're not being sent out at all then I have no choice but to go with direct deposit.

When I first started working for Kroger, you got paid in cash.  I guess that was so you could give it right back to them when you had to buy groceries

That absolutely is the direction they're trying to take it ('they' being the evil enemy, aka the super rich / and their bought politicians / law makers, the crew who rule us all).

I hope I don't live long enough to see it, but I fear I will.

People don't understand what a disaster this is going to be. Never mind 666 mark of the beast / end times or what ever, it's going to open a whole flood gate of new taxation where every cent you own is now 100% tracked and accounted for. It's going to remove what little is left of your privacy.

Cash is anonymous. Digital currency comes with your entire life bio and where-abouts.

The super rich truly want all the money and all the power, and this will be a huge move in their favor of getting that.

I just found out some more info. It seems that several of the other current employees didn't get their pay either. This new system is screwing things up. Talk about if it's not broke dont fix it.

The easiest way to determine if you are part of the technical issue is to log into MyInfo and see if you have pay slips for the weeks that you are missing paychecks.

If there is not a pay slip, something went wrong during the conversion.

Of course, it doesn't help that the Feed, MyTime and MyInfo websites are glitchy.

I wonder if someone is going to be held accountable for all this mess, or if they're just going to say oh well that's the way it goes.  I read a notice that said some employees had a decrease in pay.  That's really bad.

Kroger has been trying to remove paper checks for about a decade now. They're making it more difficult to get them mailed or delivered. My store has about 5% working homeless and due to no address they are still allowed to have paper checks delivered to the store. The hr rep can manually bypass this for you and use the store address.

Yeah, this new system sucks big time BECAUSE it IS so glitchy!!! And by the way, forget paper checks...Quite a few people in our district didn't get paid for WEEKS and they normally don't get paper checks, so of course, I've talked to some people who this happened to who are upset about it...Because...uh...the bills don't stop!!! I did notice that some employees now are getting their back pay slowly, but the whole thing is still f'ed up...Gotta love modern technology and convenience!!!disbelief

OP here. I had just signed up for direct deposit and was told that it would take two weeks for it to start. Those two weeks have passed and I still got my check in the mail. So would it be after the second week or do I have to go through this process again?

I would wait one more week.

How did you sign up for direct deposit?

Ask whoever helped you:  Hr or bank.  If you entered it yourself using MyInfo, double check your bank information.

It might take another two weeks unless you entered the account numbers wrong.  Then, you will definitely need to redo it.

Nope.  It's just glitches in the system because Kroger is technologically incompetent.

Direct deposit is impossible at many if not most stores since no is either able to nor wants to set it up.
