Digital coupon scams.

It happens every time the bacon goes on sale:

Customer grabs the most expensive brand of bacon and demands the digital sale price on that. I'm sorry we can not substitute items and company policy will not let you have a $15 item * 5 of them for 85% off. You get what the damn sale item is. If you want don't want the cheap brand of bacon then don't waist our time!

I had multiple poeple do this for me and the most expensive bacon is no where near the cheap digital sale bacon. This is 100% intention. fyi we're not stupid.

This scam happens every digital sale. Customers try to substitute the cheap @$$ brand for a more expensive one demanding the cheaper price. Kroger says make it right but that is not allowed. You customers are so use to being told yes you throw 2-yr old tantrums when you don't get your way.

Thats right! Its krogers policy to make it right! Us customers deserve the good bacon and not sone cheap welfare knock off pork. Yall can keep that Kroger private selection garbage.

That's fine. Then just shop elsewhere. And I agree, you guys DO throw baby fits when you dont get your way. I'm not sorry to say this, but we DO NOT sub the more expensive item unless WE KNOW for a fact it is 100% out of stock.

Ill shop where I want. You can work elsewhere. And it doesnt matter it will be subbed. youll also do it  with a smile on your face and expect a write up or suspension. Im not sorry to say this but the customer is always right

Youd have write ups torn into pieces right in front of you. With a smile on my face to boot.

You have no authority to write up anyone. And besides you shouldnt waste write up or suspension papers knowing they will be torn into pieces in front of you.

Who said I was writing people up? And no just empty threats from you associates as usual. Its easy to be tough at home on the keyboar. but back in the real world, doing such a thing you claim is non existent. Kroger pretty much owns you and youre powerless to do or say otherwise.

Smiling, says, "I'm sorry. That isn't the sale item."

"But why isn't this the sale for the same price. It seems like this ought to be on sale if the coupon says it's on sale."

"I'll need to ask my manager."

"WHY DO YOU NEED TO ASK THE MANAGER IF THE MANAGER WILL SAY SOMETHING DIFFERENT!? IF THE MANAGER WILL JUST SAY IT'S ON SALE!?"

"I'm not able to put this other item on sale, but let's find out what the manager says."

"LOOK I'M JUST TELLING YOU IT'S THE SAME FOR SALE SO I DON'T CARE IF YOU SAY YOU NEED THE MANAGER!!!"

The managers probably will not make time for a yelling bastard who cannot be satisfied. If he keeps it up he knows it is unlikely he will get his rip-off deal. No better than a coin toss chance. If he is really enjoying yelling at people who have been trained to fear unsatisfied customers and are not allowed to ignore or punch-out or yell back this can go on for a long time.

Resist the natural impulse to yell back as if he were hard of hearing. He is a nut.

I don't care about you're people's replies as most of them are b.s. This happens all the damn time.

Remember: Company protocol allows you to refuse a price challenge.

You care or you wouldnt reply.

Remember : The customer is Always Right! even when were wrong were still right. So your price challenge gibberish is nonsense.
