KR vacation pay vs regular vacation
Permalink

Hey, so I was paid twice for my vacation. One was a regular vacation pay (much like my last and the amount paid adds up so I know this is my real check) and then I was paid a random check for alot more and it says KR vacation pay instead? Anyone know what the KR means? Waiting to hear back from management.

Maybe it the second check sounds like they paid you separately. First one was for your reg work week prior to vacation. The second one is your vacation check, that you received after you came back from vacation.

Either way, more money is always a good thing.

I dont think so. I was paid during my vacation for the work I did the previous week.  And both paychecks say vacation pay, only one says vacation pay and the other says KR vacation pay

I fully expect them to take this money back. Or worse, they dont give me my last vacation (I have one left) and say that because this one was paid out that I dont get paid for the last one.

I dunno, but so far no one can answer me at the store what Im supposed to do. Id definitely love to keep it but feel like in a months time theyre gonna ask for it back

Even if they did happen to pay you for your last vacation already, they still have to give you the time off.  You simply won't receive a paycheck for it since you've already received the pay.  That happened to me last year with my last personal day.  They paid out all remaining personal days before I had taken my last one.  So one week I got paid for 6 days (5 regular days + 1 personal day) plus any overtime.  The following week I got paid for 4 days.  The fifth day was my personal day which was paid out the week before.  I myself have my vacations split between KR vacation pay and vacation days.  I think it's just how your payroll person codes it.  As long as the total number of hours between the two is what you should have at this point, then you're good
