Anyone else sick of this as well? I have a lot of education and because of the job title I hold I get disrespected a lot by society.

What kind of job titles do you consider to be respectable? If it's a job that needs to be done, then it's a respectable job. If anyone says different, that's their problem. You don't say what type of education you have. Do you have a degree? Is it in something useful, or is it in something like Liberal Arts or Humanities where the only thing you can do with it is teach it to somebody else?

Oh quit projecting.  You wouldnt even last a DAY in our shoes.  Even if we had $100/hour you wouldnt last.

not sure which would break you first: the need to be polite or the psychological torture/horror.   My entire paycheck would be on the former.

When you are off the clock, and they ridicule you, you can tell them "if they don't like it, they can do it themselves or go elsewhere. Bye Felicia." Just make sure you are off the clock, and not wearing anything that can identify you as a Kroger employee.

They can't do jack sh1t about it.

Warning: unless they know for a fact you work for Kroger, that's when the baby snowflakes will p1ss and moan to management.

The punchline is the paycheck.

It's only funny if your parents let you pay rent.

Because the landlord won't approve the lease.

Not working here.

If "society" is going to judge you, then forget about them. They don't know any better if they feel they must look down on others. Whatever your position is, do it the way you know how and ignore those that think otherwise.

Well, guess what? We have an older guy who used to design cars for a living and later build planes for the government. We have had people who have run their own businesses on the side. People that have worked government jobs. People from all walks of life who have held lots of jobs. Weve had retirees from other jobs working part time at Kroger who just need a little extra spending cushion. Weve had musicians, including a drummer and a guitarist, who needed Kroger as a day job. Lots of smart, capable people with talent who needed a job to get them by for a season, or longer, depending on the situation. Thing is, youve got to talk to people. Find out their background. Surprisingly, you might find theyre a lot smarter than you think!

People so smart, they want to work for $.20 over minimum wage.

Part time only.  At least 12 hours a week.

Random schedules, maybe clopening.

Health insurance only if they are scheduled enough hours to deserve it.

CEO's and former presidents are brawling in the breakroom to work here, I hear.

Idk sounds like a lot of failures at their older jobs.

Keep in mind that a lot of these guys are or were older and didnt care about advancing. They were getting close to retirement after long careers elsewhere and needed some supplemental income. Some just got laid off, because their companies only needed 10 people to do a job instead of 20. The guitarist was our receiver. Still works for the company. Excellent guitarist, but the band broke up for various reasons, like the lead singer getting married and wanting to do other stuff. Things like that. Other employees worked at stores that eventually closed up and they came to work for us, so not all necessarily failures.

I always say it takes all kinds to work for Kroger and that literally couldnt be more the truth!
