I was wondering if anyone could tell me if you can be rehired as a cck cashier if you were suspended for 6 months due to an incident that was over $200 yet the Kroger insurance covered it and it was found that it was no fault of my own a simple accident

You can always try but generally if it involves money they are pretty strict about it. If the union grievance clerical errored it yes you can try again. ufcw union is affiliated with a lot of other grocers out there. you can apply at anther store within the union. If less than 2 yrs your seniority should carry over. I highly suggest sooner than later. If the merge goes through you won't have this option much longer.

You should be able to call 1-800 KROGERS and ask to speak to the human resource team, and ask them if your rehireable flag is set to YES or NO.

They will need to validate your identity and they will probably take your name and number and offer to have someone call you back.  Let them know their is a job posting you are interested in applying for, but you were concerned that your last incident may have marked you as non-rehireable, and you wanted to know who would be able to give you that status.

If it is NO, you can try to contact the  HR department at your local kroger division office, and ask them how you might file to overturn that, now that you have been cleared.  They will let you know if there is a review process for that.  Rarely they do overturn a NO to a YES, but it does require a lot of polite calls an emails, and takes more than a month to get done.
