This has always been a bit  confusing:

If you decide to swap shifts with another coworker. You show up for their shift but they fail to show up to yours. Who is responsible?

According to my time the shifts would be completely swapped. The shift originally assigned would now be swapped with another coworker. Completely disappear on your schedule. If the person covering your shift fails to show up for your shift that responsibility now falls on the reassigned person.

For every my store had it backwards and decided the person originally assigned to that shift would take the hit if the other failed to no-show. According to how my time works with swapped shifts management is wrong regarding this fact. In the future I might be more apt to swap shifts with people. If they fail to no-show it's all on them now. Not other way around. I mean why should the original shift assigned person take the hit for a flakey employee? Another scenario of no good deed goes unpunished at kroger.
