Don't you love unions? Yes I have my pro's and con's about them. I've needed them a few times for representation. But there's always workers out there that abuse the rights of a union. I'm going to work to my full potential until I pass probationary period then day 91 start to become the flakiest employee possible. I'm sorry, but this is not what the union is for. I've seen this time and time again and kroger expects a certain level of professionalism from it's employees and this is not it.

I've seen this work type come and go and it is rare this group lasts long term. Something always gets them fired. These people often require slipping through the cracks of high management turn over to last a long time at this job. My store recently had a manager that cleaned house of these people so you're not fully protected.

What peeves me is our lead caused 2 really good workers to quit. I swear my department is cursed at keeping staff and has incredibly high turn over. I'll negotiate with them to day as they're talking about shuffling around hours. If they can not give me health insurance hours I will seek other stores.
