Kroger could care less about people and their financial well being. Kroger is no longer a career opportunity like it use to be before the early 2000's. it's now a dead end pay check to paycheck job. With zero promotional opportunities. You're also easily replaced by a minimum wage no body off the streets. Who is also just as easily replicable at minimum wage. If you croak they don't care. i watched one person's position get filled in < 72 hrs. Not even enough passing time for mourning with the staff. I finally hit that place in my life where I can step down to volunteer worker but mostly for health insurance. You literally can not live off this income at minimum wage. You can't. Most people have 2 pt jobs just to make ends meet. Don't get me wrong I did that too in my early working life because no employer wanted to pay a livable paycheck or give more than 20 hrs a week. :/ I really feel for you people in this society that will be lucky if they ever can buy a home in their life time.

Kroger pays top dollar tonthese so called associates. They dont care cause the employees dont care. if they actually did work and made an effort they might see a change. Either way associates get paid good if anything they need a slight pay decrease cause its too much and non deserving.

The problem is inflation has far outpaced the rate of wage increases. My credit card bill has doubled over the past four years. The assessed value of my house has gone up 65% If I were buying it now, I couldn't afford it. Groceries have gone through the roof. I used to be able to get four full bags of groceries for under $50.00 four years ago. The same groceries today cost about $80.00.
