File Maintenance Clerks! Would those of you who are made to do Negative Balances, Inactives, make the signs for your stores, and run a register please submit a post stating what things you are asked to do OTHER than those in your job description. If you do not have to do these I would like to know also. If you wouldn't mind I would like to know what Division you are in, too. We have some issues that need attention and I need the help! Thanks!!!!!!!!!
I have to do all signs in my store, and help in every aspect of my store. I am proud to say that most of my coworkers are team players - none will make a sign, or hang a tag or fix anything, but they do ask nicely. Because I worked behind a desk for several years before I landed in grocery world, I must admit I love my job, but it is starting to get boring. I thrive on a challenge, but file maintenance is impossible - nobody listens. In the BIG world of Kroger, if you are not a white male, you don't know what you are talking about. At least I am lucky enough to have a couple of people have noticed. Unfortunately, I don't think they have the power to make a change. Maybe with the reorganization going on within my division and the entire Kroger company, somebody will take a stand against the abuse of the file maintenance teams.
