You still gotta do the bare minimum if you decide to quiet quit. The company does notice if you just stop doing your job duties. They have the right to write you up for job abandonment. Just depends on how fast they notice it. You have to do the bare minimum. Just fine tune it to the degree that you can. This level is different for every position.
My coworker just decided to disappear for half their shift if not more. The only reason they didn't get called out on it was because when they worked it was early and few eyes were on them. So they had a higher percentage of not being caught. Well... work stopped being done and management noticed. When they checked the cameras they saw them here and there doing this or that... Good lord at least figure out the security camera blind spots and hide in those. Week after week of his job duties not getting done... Yea they noticed.
