We do so many things at this company for appearance only. I see it every day, in every store I'm in, and at every level; Store Walks, Processes, Observations, Equipment Inspections, Temperature Logs, Pick-up Fill Rates, you name it! We are very good at faking the funk with the appearance of integrity. But something happened in February this year that should not go unnoticed by anyone with an earnest regard for integrity, Equity or Dignity. There was a nice article posted in the Company Newsletter in February 2025 about a Store Leader at Ralphs #133 for Black History Month. The story was very flattering to the Manager, and as far as I can know it was all true, except one thing - She is not a Store Leader. Had she been, she would be the only Black Store Leader in the District. It appears that someone made an effort to 'promote' her for the month of February, going even so far as updating the District Store Roster, only to immediately reverse her 'promotion' come March. It seems the effort was solely to promote the illusion of Diversity in Leadership at the Company.
Most of things that Ralphs/Kroger fakes on a daily basis do not affect me on a personal level, but this does. It actually angers, and by not saying something I fear I am tacitly supporting immorality. Someone in a trusted position made the conscious effort to deceive the world on a very important issue, and they should be identified, reprimanded, and the company should issue an apology to everyone this deliberate misinformation reached. Otherwise, never speak another word about Honesty, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, Inclusion or Safety.
speaking of which every where i ever worked black people never do more than the min. i not racist this coming from experience. ex. night stock indianapolis kroger black man named derek anderson been with the company almost 20 years shift from 9-5am he gets the min done stops at 4am. others are working till 6am sometimes. he leaves his aisles half assed sits gets the free hour till 5 ,30 minute breaks, breaks the toliet every week, leaves a mess behind, clutter carts and pallets, if items falls kicks it under etc. thats only him check out the ones you work with. have u seen any head stocks that are black. how many dept heads. kroger wont fire because of waffle house type laws. im not afraid to say it. i rather have mexicans working with me that cant speak english than a black man with 20 years exp. theres more but thats enough
Company removed the qualifications for all departments just to adapt the DEI...company hired someone whom is well under qualify. The employee whined about the hostile environment as the employee is stalking employee(s). Also employee lied on the interview.
