Kroger was never really a great place to work. I quit about 10 years ago and the managers were always so pushy. The other employees were great as long as you were a decent worker but the customers and thieves were always a problem. I found that as long as you stood your ground and didn't let them push you around that things turned out better, as an employee.

I wanted to be enthusiastic and help the company but there were red flags from the start. About two months in they started being abusive like they were hoping they could rely on me to be a good soldier in the secret war on everybody. These guys are flat out crazy and mean as hell.
