Leave of absence claim
Permalink

I had to take a medical leave of absence due to having a condition that's going to require a procedure. I had constantly check with Met Life to get my claim approved and extend my leave. I finally get my claim approved but I also received a letter from HR stating that my leave was unauthorized due to my claim being not approved or for not providing the medical documentation needed. My primary health care provider sent Met Life the medical documentation. Should it also be sent to HR?

Met Life? You don't have kasier or did you opt out of that? It's basically free with the job even if you already have insurance. I thought it was crazy to have two but I did for years and it helped a few times.  When one place doesn't accept an insurance the other would often accept the second more common option. If the leave was filed correctly they should of accepted it. Please get well.

I've had burn outs too and had to request time off work for mental wellness and that counts as a leave. If it's severe enough it can count as a disability. If you're going on longer than 15 weeks I think it counts as short term disability. If it's an ongoing issue have you thought about consoling to help? Maybe find a new path in life to make you happy, maybe it's time to consider alternatives other than the job you've been working for the past nth number of years. Some times change helps.
