I usually don't mind being a team player, my coworker says she doesn't lie and her speach says that but her actions also dictate other wise. More than once she's asked to change or alter shifts. I usually don't mind but she's always asking last minute. More than once she's said "I have a major medical appointment I need to do..." Shows me the email for the appointment and everything. Then I find out for more than one appointment she's played hookie and skipped. Dear, if you do this one more time I will start saying "No" to shift swaps.

I wouldn't give her anymore chances. One chance would have been enough for me to start saying no. She's aware of these appointments well ahead of time. She can put in a request to be off on that day. Even if you don't mind, it's the principle of the thing. It lets her know you're not a pushover.
Yep, she ended up getting the flu bug and couldn't go to her appointment. As the other person suggest, I'm going to start saying "No." to her shift swaps. She does it so many times it's actually super obnoxious. she says she doesn't lie but her actions state other wise.
A lot of her health issues come from her obesity and her unhealthy life style. You have to eventually take responsibility for your health if you don't I feel that your end will be from sort of obesity issue.
i am just thankful that the new esced rules if you shift swap the responsibility falls on the person that took that shift. Not the other way around. my last store people would screw you over all the time because of that. Not any more. Second time she failed to go to an appointment. I am going to tell her no from here on out.

I'm beginning to wonder if she's a drug addict. She seems more like that flakey high schooler that didn't want employment but mom and dad told her get a job or get kicked out.
