Feel bad for calling out but they need to stop working staff to exhaustion.
(Preview)
This game of the company turning a blind eye to lack of staff is getting old. Current staff is worked to exhaustion and it causes us to become ill or develop health issues that go on for a while. I feel bad when I call out because there is zero coverage but that is the cost the company has decided to make by not...

Be specific about your availablity. Or they'll take advantage of you and exploit you.
(Preview)
I have been seeing a lot of posts on reddit about work scheduling people 10+ day work weeks, denying vacation/pto requests. Please set an availablity if you do not wish to work 50+ hr work weeks. Your bank account won't like it but your health won't. This will wear you down the longer you do it and exhaust...

Dear customers who chin wear a mask: Just take the damn thing off it does zero good.
(Preview)
Not sure if this post will last or not but if you are going to wear a mask on the chin just take the damn thing off as it does zero good and you look silly wearing a mask bib on your chin. Just take the damn thing off. If people work while sick without a mask on you sure the hell can take a mask off if you are not going...

They won't let you make up sick days with extra shifts. And you have to push them to use sick pay.
(Preview)
Good lord I hate this new time punching system. If you call out sick they do not want you to do the right thing and come in on another day off to make up the skipped shift. Due to them being on a tight hour budget. Then you have to constantly remind them to input sick pay for you. Even if you ask over the phone the...

Please become familiar with fmla leave rules they're very strict.
(Preview)
Don't know if my coworker will see this but fmla is very strict about how long your job is protected for. If you wished for an extension you should of done it a couple months before the expiration date expired. Not after it did. Now you're just screwed. Please consider worker retraining programs throug...

How to get full-time?
(Preview)
I'm a cashier. I do a good job, but lately there has been a cut in hours for me and several other part-timers after a brief raise in hours (I was getting 30-35 weekly, and some were getting 38 to start). I'm wondering how to get full-time so I can be one of those guys that works from the ghostly hour of 6am to 2p...

Management finally decided to fire my coworker who just decided to stop showing up.
(Preview)
He declared a medical flair up on a pre existing condition. Which is swell and legally they are to work with you until you get back to normal. However, you've had 16 weeks off work. If you are that disabled you want to reconsider your future employment history. If you knew you were not coming back you shou...

(Preview)
I'm honestly ready to leave the store I've been at the last 7 yrs and move onto a bigger store. I am so sick of being the only active employee + lead. Our department can not keep staff and has high turn over. I'm honestly about ready to can this sh---it of a store and move to a bigger store that doesn't have sta...

Work hates it when I take 4 days off once a month.
(Preview)
I am so sick of full time and this started out as a health insurance job. Unlike others I do not really need the income from the job but it is nice to have it. Work fights me for requesting so much time off be it paid or not. Knowing vacation cashes out it will supplement the difference. I tried to vocally quot...

We don't have them here in the Local 1996 Atlanta GA area. Are you referring to the Shell stations that accept the KrogerPlus card for 3 cents off the price of their gas?

Okay, so to my coworker who is accustomed to waking up at 5 am kudos to you that you can do that. Get a reality check stop reaming into your coworkers that function better on day shifts or late pm shifts. Face it if the entire world operated on the same shift nothing would get done. I my self have never been a m...

What is the Kroger policy on alcohol sales to visibly intox'd customers-we can't seem to agree in our store
(Preview)
When I was in the front end (I am now at Fuel) we were told that we had to sell the booze to the customer since we "are not law enforcement and can't tell if someone is drunk or not." I always have felt uncomfortable selling to these individuals since several years ago an intox customer came in bought a bunch...

If our lead wasn't over riding the schedule to give its 2 staff members full time hours our dep would be screwed
(Preview)
I need not 40 hrs a week but will work it if requested. We only have 2 active staff in a department that would function better with 4 and are not even given 40 hrs a week. Oh, yes corporate a deli department can fully run on 2 people plus lead and you're wondering why sales are down and freshness is repeatedly...
