The front-end at my store isn't run well at all, and the supervisors always use Self-checkout as the scapegoat, blaming the self-checkout employees for not doing a good job and that it's the reason we get backed up a lot. The problem with them saying that is the fact that we're all the same self-checkou...

the company famous hates full timers and yet part timers are notoriously undependable particularly up front and in meat. there's been a few days where if we didn't have full time people nobody would've come to work. i see mornings, nights and even overnights in the same week, shifts closer than all...

So I interviewed for a cashier/courtesy clerk position around 8 business days ago (excluding the weekend, of course) and I was told that I pretty much had the job. I took the drug test and the hiring manager said they would send my background check off. I had already taken the pre-background check thi...

We had an angry customer call in and demand to speak to a manager. There were no managers available at the time and the customer on the phone got more and more pissed. Then she started to describe what the girl she was talking to on the phone looked like and what she was doing, where she was standing etc, so a...

So after over 5 years dealing with Kroger Kulture, I finally made the big break applied for & got another job, and quit. Gave 5 working days notice. No problem. There is no law---federal, state county or municipal, that requires giving 2 weeks notice, or any notice whatsoever. After all, if K...

I filled out my vacation request form in January. My request for my vacation showed up on Eschedule as approved. Does this mean that it's set or do I need to put it into Eschedule myself as my vacation week?

Do you all see employees who will get shifts they don't like and just call out "sick" because of it? I only want to do what I want to do when I want to do it! Boo-hoo!! They come & go on their own schedule no matter how it screws the dept. They call out without consequences but in a pattern tha...

I'm the one on leave in another country. I got back Wednesday, I'm due to go back to work May 31st, everything normal. Saturday the 16th, while still in India, I forgot how to walk and sprained my ankle super bad. The doctor I saw yesterday gave me a work note saying I had to do desk duty and keep it elevated,...

I work in the deli department but I want to work as a night stocker now. It hasn't really been a month yet since I've been in the deli department. It's fine but I don't really care for dealing with customers anymore even though it's not as much customers I would have working in fast food. Anyway, is there a c...

shrink in a market can be this much. $1100 worth of loss. Sad think is that the employee that left this out can not be disciplined because the store management is afraid to to write-ups because of staffing problems. This had been done 3 times in one period and now management wants to get rid of him. But wit...
