I am getting married this friday, (put in last week) and someone came and rolled me for it. I've been with kroger for a year and they been there for 3 years. Now, there is NO way I am changing the date. what will happen if I choose to go through with my orginal plans? They originally said I had that day and now they scribbled it out on the paper schedule and told me I was rolled for it. Uhhh... No. The ONLY rolling I will be doing is getting a ride to my wedding. I am going on vacation the week after my wedding (honeymoon). If I don't show will I be on a Permanant vacation? Coming in after the wedding is NOT EVEN an option. What should I do? Don't show or call in "sick" and don't show?

They originally said you had that ay off so remind them of it. Was the change made before the schedule was finalized? Not that it really matters. Send a copy of your marriage license with your unemployment claim lol! Collect unemployment while you are looking for a new job. I'd leave Kroger if I were you.
If your schedule was finalized on that date, go get married as planned. I'm sure if they put in their "big boy/girl" pants they can handle it. I'm not sure if you can be rolled once your hours are finalized though. Go and explain it to them. Congrats and have fun on yor wedding
Did you get this marriage approved by Kroger first? They probably had someone in mind for you and here you are getting married to someone they don't approve of. And I'm sure your husband-to-be didn't even have the common courtesy to swing by and ask your manager for your hand in marriage.
I would go up to the office (whoever does the scheduling) and remind them that you are getting married on Friday, and that you have requested the day off and it was previously approved. Surely they can find someone else to work Friday for you, since they did that for the other person (who did not request the day off until they found someone else had it). A fair and just person will find someway to make up the difference.
When it came to issues of scheduling someone that had previously requested off, we'd simply say "f@#$" and then try to cover the shift. Life happens. Sometimes people screw up. I didn't knock them for it.
