Kroger is really pushing these for some reason. It must be somebody's pet project. I don't know about other stores, but they simply don't sell all that well here. Despite that, they sent us probably 20 or more flats of strawberries. The other day I scanned out 16 packages of 4-count chocolate dipp...
With the buy outs of some of the higher ups, I have to wonder. What is going to occur in 2017? I can't help but feel that this will be a rough year for us at the stores, with something big going down.
So long story short, management has started making up stories about me doing things I'm not supposed to so that they can get around the union to fire me. I only make about 60 a week and have been thinking about leaving for a while, so I don't think this is worth a union grievance. I really don't want to go bac...
Why does everything with Kroger involve a long trip around the barn to get anything done or anything you need? I just don't understand why Kroger would treat their employees like this considering the loyalty I've personally witnessed by these same employees. I've waited and waited to get my W2 in the...
I have been trying to look at recs for other stores at home. Great people keeps telling me I'm blocked and need to speak with my admin. So when I went to speak to her she told me I needed to do it on my personal time. That's right, does anyone else have this problem with great people? I need to get out of my stor...
Some days are worst than others, but it seems like nearly everyday there are multiple things that piss me off and just put me in a terrible mood and make me look mad, upset, and frustrated. I've been called out on this by coworkers and customers before, but I've just gotten to the point where I don't care....
They got some panel sitting in corporate (people who have never worked in a grocery store probably) coming up with bogus ideas on how to streamline ****, when all it does it take more time and cost more money for training. I'm paid to put **** on the shelf, not to write stuff on clipboards, fill out paper...
currently i work in produce but a manager said me and another co worker are going to HAVE to learn how to use one. Is there anyway to get out of this because my department is already having to cover another department because lack of employees and It causes us to fall behind on our work. Im willing to even go...
valentine's day is among us which means pink, pink everywhere. the balloons, streamers, candy, stuffed animals, and the other regalia have taken over the entire store. an entire aisle is pink due to pink candy being displayed in pink shippers. several giant heart balloons have already gone rogue a...
I would like to start an honest and frank discussion about the challenges we face (especially in the front end!) in dealing with minority customers. In our store they are the source of the majority of our go back or they get to the register and find they don't have enough money and half the cart ends up goi...
The Kroger's I work at has gone above and beyond for a young lady that lost her husband suddenly few days before Christmas, she was paid for her up to 3 days, but our store as well as our whole District collected donations for her a her family, so she could have more time off and not have to worry about whethe...
What is the procedure of calling "CODE GREEN" at your store? Is the compactor (trash, not the cardboard baler) door left unlocked? At our store, some store managers go through the hassle of calling a Code Green every few hours, but others leave the door open which is so much more convenient for worke...
hey i got a good topic i'd love to hear from you all about. suppose that you are a department back-up. one day you get called to the office and you are bombarded by the store manager, your co-manager and your department head. maybe they tell you how unhappy they are over your work. maybe they do the basic...
Is that considered workplace harassment? Or would hostile work environment be a better way to describe it? This co manager who has been at my store for 2 weeks is the biggest **** I have ever met in my 10+ years with the company. I'm going to file a grievance with the union, but I wonder which wording is bet...
