We've got several but I'll start with this family that used to come in once a week. Mom, Dad, and like 3 boys of different ages. They all looked sickly- you know the kind where you saw a ghost and turned white or you haven't eaten anything and look like you might pass out? There was just something about t...
Okay, so this is going to be a bit long and I apologize for that. I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I technically work for Kroger since my store is owned by the Kroger company. I've been at my store for a years now, coming up on three. I've always had issues with the scheduling at my store but it was n...
we had this latino guy deliver a load to our store one day last summer, when I went to open the dsd door to let him come in I saw that he had someone with him, it was the most beautiful latina girl I'd ever seen. I started unloading the truck but took a minute to go tell some guys they might need to make a trip to b...
I'm a CC. This week, I'm being cut from 40 hours down to 29 hours. I'm a full-timer. However, there's a CC who has only been there a few months and is getting 38.5 hours this week. We both have open availability. I've been working at Kroger for almost two years. On the schedule, I'm the very first person and...

Whenever I hear this song on overhead, it makes me perk up a little inside and realize my job isn't so bad and that today is a good day while smiling and trucking on. Even follow along with the whistling sometimes if customers aren't around lol ...

The store I where I work recently got a chef/salad case and I've been put in charge of it. I'm trying to figure out a good way to store the tags/signs for the products. Right now they are loose in a big container and it's a pain in the neck. Any tips on good way to store and organize?
I've been scheduled outside of my availability for over a month now. I'm growing increasingly irritated with rescheduling doctors appointments because my boss wants me to work. I've had to cancel an appointment, reschedule one twice and missed out on a family event because last minute i'm schedul...
I got an SRI or whatever and was told I had to take a Break at 2 hours even if I didn't want it and not later than that. And that it was in the handbook that it has to be every 2 hours. Is this a true statement? Just curious. They said it was in the union contract and what not and I can't find an answer.

This may seem odd, first time joining and posting but I am thinking of retiring shortly and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with that or advice?

I was at work today and had the thought of "How much could Krogers corporate headquarters get some poor unsuspecting sucker to pay for this store?" My store for example is I believe the largest or in the top largest for our division, So we...
