First our manager stops all overtime unless you are his select few. Doesn't follow the contract. He replaced a guy that let us work as long as we wanted. Overtime was almost unlimited. He lies to us and tells us that he is in trouble for overtime. Give me a break! He really insults our intelligience. If that is the case why did the other manager let us work as long as we wanted. My analogy is that the old manager is a single guy that did not care about his bonus. In othe words he shared the wealth with his employees who in turn worked hard. The new manager wants to keep his bonus high and keep all his employees under his thumb. He's a control freak and selfish. I feel that he looks down on us. It's all about him. But that isn't all. We had a couple who would come in on the weekends and cook cotton candy for a $1 a bag and the store would get half of the proceeds. He stops letting them sell cotton candy and decides to buy a cotton candy machine and a pop corn machine. The money he used was raised by the current employees for our party fund. Now here comes the greedy part. He wants us to VOLUNTEER our time to earn the money back that he spent. Yes, that's right, VOLUNTEER! Not only that but he cut out all overtime right before the holiday's! Happy Holiday's Mr F!
WOW, i've had bad days at work, but man, this guy isnt a manger that he should be. I would be careful, because I know someone in my store that got to work 14 hours straight, but i guess he had permission from my manager. WE WERE BUSY that day!! Hope your manager knows what hes doing because a simple mistake can cost a "blue tag" his job.
Clerks seem to think the pressure falls on them and no one else. Do you honestly think your store managers are not under any pressure at all?? I can assure you overtime is most certianly an issue.. If a manger allowed you to work as much as you wanted irreguardless of the situation then he was running the store incorrectly and was why he was replaced. Not only is overtime an issue but also the amount of hours used. Most districts are allowed only a 1% margin of error within the ELMS forecast. Right or not that is the standard we ware held to, and is mandatory to the livelyhood of our jobs with which we support our families, just like you guys. Like it or not we are held to standardsjust like you guys are by us. You could not begin to imagine the amount of pressure that comes from the DM, which unfortunatley trickles down hill to you guys. much of the policies and rules handed down from above are unrealistic B.S. but we all must do our part to keep our company and our jobs moving forward.
