i work at Dillons store #73 in the deli. been there for less than a month and at first it was fine but now its just a living hell! My department head is a lazy **** that couldnt do her job even if she wanted to. i havent been there long enough to really learn much of anything but got wrote up today (didnt sign it) for something i wasnt even trained to do, much less even knew about! this last week something was changed that upset the already delicate balancing act for the closers of the department. i walk in and dishes are stacked damn near ceiling high, not soaking, the department itself is a complete mess and on top of that they are only scheduling 2 closers now and expecting them to get atleast 6-8 hours worth of work done in only 4 hours PLUS help the customers in a "speedy manner". it took us 2 closers 6 and a half hours to get the department ready to open in the morning. me and the other poor lady i was working with (she's like damn near 65) were so tired when we got out of there that we could barely drive home, and on top of that we got jumped out for being over on our time when there was nothing, i mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING we could've done to get out of there on time. i complain to management, nothing gets done exept us getting some bunk ass excuse about alloted hours and yotta yotta yotta. thats all fine and dandy and i can completely understand it but it still doesnt put aside the fact that something needs to be done. mainly hiring atleast 1 more closer per night! i want to complain to corporate but i know it will do no good whatsoever. im just going to put it in the back of my mind, become a trained deli clerk, work it for about a year, and offer my services to a competitor.
kroger, i really honestly hope that one of these days you will realise that your employees and NOT your customers make your buisness. without happy employees, you DO NOT have happy customers!
