Seems the Union Contract usually centers around Full Timers and anyone thats hired before 2005,1995,1985. Those hired before those dates get the best benefits as higher pay, more holidays, less work. Looks more like your paying Union Dues for their benefits more than yours. No wonder Kroger will agree to Union contracts pertaining to FT's as they don't hire them anymore even when a FT quits.
So to combat that Kroger wont hire Full timers, they flood the store with only PT's.Less benefits and insurance, less pay. Can work you 25 hours over a 5 day period like a FullTimer. Cut only the PT hours and never a FT which is 35-40hrs. Theyre also eager to ask you to stay over when they overload themselves as PT have plenty of hours left before reaching OT.
SO is your store loaded down with PT's more than FT?
The thing is there is a limit to how many ft people you have per store. And most FT are Managers and grocery clerks but my average is 33-40 per week no OT as that is frowned upon I work Drug GM and hang dry Grocery tags
