Does a Loss Prevention Specialist receive full-benefits (this is a non-union position)? I would really like to know because I have read in other readings that the LP department isn't considered full time, although LP personal may work up to 40 hours per week.
I don't know what you're talking about. Here in the central division loss prevention is done by outside companies and not kroger employees. They don't get kroger benefits nor do they get paid by kroger. where are you located? Its weird because we have a bitch that does the security crap for kroger, but they dont hire their own loss prevention. Most likely because they dont want to be sued anymore.
Loss Prevention is part of the district office and handles doing background checks on employees and investigates instances of dishonest or violent employees.Anyone in the stores are not going to know very much about the division.
In the mid-south i hear that loss prevention/ risk mangement is down sizing. I do know there are only a few people left that come to the stores to catch shoplifters.
