I currently work at King Soopers in Colorado (which is union) and I want to transfer to Kroger in Tennessee. Will I lose my seniority when I transfer? If anyone works at Kroger in Tennessee I would appreciate any information about the work environment. King Soopers in Colorado is pretty good.
Had a guy once transfer from somewhere in Michigan to a store in Allen Texas a number of years ago. He lost his seniority but kept his time with Kroger towards his benefits, vacation and pension. Was placed into a corresponding pay rate for this area and that was about it. Could not say if that helps you any.
you will lose your seniority for scheduling only really. the new seniority date will be the day you start in TN. You will not lose your time for pension/vacations earned/ and pay rate. these will all be based on time with the company and the contract in the area. TN currently has three divisions Mid-south, Atlanta, and Delta so it will depend on what area you are going to be in to determine what contract you will be under. Hope this helps.
Hi, I was just wondering if you could give info on your store in CO, that you described as good. Like address of store, contact union rep, what did you do there, do they take good care of their employees? We want to transfer MAYBE to there, what city is it in? why are you leaving? (Please be vauge with personal info, or you can say no comment if you don't know...) THANKS, want to get out of NON_UNION state and transfer 4 yrs of experience...
