Associate Survey!

Hey, the associate survey is coming out Monday, the 30th! Isn't that great? It will be my way of telling Division Management just how inclusive, respectful, and how GREAT they truly are! And in doing so, they will get a bigger bonus! Hooray for Management!

That was a horrible attempt at sarcasm on my part.

The survey is a waste of time, just a way to get an hour off your real work. Kroger could give a s**t less what their employees think. They probably throw them all straight to the shredder.

not sure how it works at other stores but here's how it works at ours.  They have a list of names of the workers and they cross them off as we take the survey so they know who still needs to take it.  Now the box they have us put the surveys in is basically a paper box with a slit at the top so that when you put your survey in, it falls directly on top of the one before,   I've noticed 2 things here:

1, they know the order of who took the surveys

2, the surveys are in order..

hmmm seems to me they know the answers personally,  i always try to put mine in the middle and screw up the system.  suckers!

heh ! good plan !
now, supossidly, it  is a outside company that reveiws the surveys, but I have trouble believing that. I,m always honest on mine, but honstly, my store sucks, and the company has really went down hill, since i started over 12 years ago.

I will fill one out and be honest but there is so many time , in 20 years, that I seen this companies ability to show they care and love you as a family with one hand, while holding the axe and the other hand behind their backs.

lots of truths in this thread.  Grumpy you nailed it,  they will be the best listeners you could ask for then turn around and knock you to the ground.  I used to think it was specific stores, but really it's company - wide

so if the survey came out on the 30th,  how many stores have heard anything about it?  We have a paper beside the timeclock telling us about it, but there has been no mention of it besides that. Does anyone know when they have to be done by?

i give out the survey and nobody know what u fill out a culture council member is suppose to give u it to u and the thing ur suppose to do with it is take the top two negitive responses and make a action plan to correct them in ur store thru the culture council i been on it for like 5 months and i have fixed alot of things it just depends if u care enough to take the time to do some somthing instead of just bitching about stuff u dont like

We took our associate survey this week. They are pretty well anonymous, and our CSM takes care of them. Ours are not in any order, so i really dont think they know who each one belongs to. The last one we did caused alot of problems in our store, and their "action plan" was to meet with each department and start another ''committee'' to find a way to fix things. They decided to put up posters in the break room with different topics and everyone could write whatever they wanted on the poster in response. I honestly dont think that management cared what we wrote and their solution was to make more posters that demonstrated the same management skills they have been using since our store opened-- management doesnt care and they never will. The store still sells groceries whether we are happy or not and they can get someone else in there and pay them less and still get the same job done. Management only cares when the health department or a zone manager or higher up comes in to see the store. Otherwise the store is dirty, there is no "key retailing", and there is no teamwork. I wish I would have never gotten hired in with Kroger, because the pay is too good to leave and the stress will kill us all eventually.

mizty, i agree.  when will they learn that all these rules and ideas don't matter unless we're having a store visit?  I mean honestly, our store does a decent job with all the paperwork, but I could care less about it.  sometimes I scan backstock, sometimes i don't.  Do I keep the backroom locked if I'm not there, no way, what a waste of time...  but if i hear someone's "in the area"  I'll make sure papers are in order, boards filled out,  doors locked, floor swept,  otherwise, it doesn't happen.  they come in and ask questions,  I give them a load of BS, they believe it and leave.  I can has winrar now?
