Not only does he SUCK but he screwed last Assistant/Secretary and Still has a job. Cost him his marriage...though. I guess as long as you don't get arrested in the park doing it, you get to keep your job!! He also threatens and intimidates his employees. He has LITTLE MAN Syndrom...LOL.
most of top management does. brian owens, zone manager IN my area was grocey manager for a while. hel, i been with the company longer then him ! anyway, we threw a pallet at a co-manager, and still kept his job. then we he got promoted to a unit manager, he one the floor, humiliated a black employee with racial slurs, and STILL kept his job. but he got his thou, the guy attacked him in the parking lot with a pillow case full of rocks. now, he's a zone manager, and from my experiance with him last week, he is still every bit a idiot, and a ass. all compianies have ass holes, that somehow get positions they don't deserve, but out of every company i have worked for, kroger has been the worse about It. if you know somebody high up, your set, no matter what you do

Wow....Something about someone I know of!! Yeah Clayton can be real arrogant. But what about his "PeeWee Herman on Speed" looking understudy Jon Young. He had so much stuff going on at the store he managed. Drug use, people ordering too much of things so that they could mark it down for themselves, people working off the clock, having hours worked moved to different days so his overtime would be good (the people he did it to were afraid to say much about it!). That was just some of the visible stuff. No telling what else was going on.
Never was in his district ( Dallas area of SWKMA) but do know that he is not one of the more friendly or co-operative Districty managers that our union bisiness agent ( Local 540) has had to deal with. Always heard more problems with him and his district more than some others.
Adam Jenuine is a store manager in that district. He cusses at and talks bad to his people too. Even on the sales floor.
I have worked very briefly under him as a comanager when 517 opened and for a few weeks at another store years ago. He was also our meat MR for a brief period of time several years back. I never had a problem with him but do know that the capability of being that way was there. But then have had many co`s and store managers read me riot acts from time to time behind closed doors most of the time.

Adam is a cool dude
Have had about 17 differant store directors in the 20 plus years and only ever had one that I just did not like. They all seem to have their own differant styles and ways to do things. Those that gets to Numbers and resaults are still around. Those that does not are all gone.
