1. The anti-theft system that goes off about 345,974 times a day. The meat we have sets off the system all the time and I'm starting to hear it in my sleep. The thing is, nobody higher up tries to fix it. I can't even imagine how much has been stolen from our store. We just wave people through and don't even check bags. Most of us don't even look up any more.

Ours is a nicer "Pardon up, please return to the nearest sales associate, apparently we have failed to remove the inventory control device from your purchase."

Of course, our store does not have U-Scan, which the U-Scan person would normally be checking the door in events like this.

1 Educated idiot customers that can not read a sign.
2 The entrance to our store that funnels and bottle necks everyone into an exit that is wide enough for only two shopping carts to pass, if that
3 Customers that continue to want to walk thru the meat department and cooler, to get to the rest room that is in the back of the store.
4 Emergency exit that is right beside the Chicken case and back corner of our store. And that is because the floor is un level and carts will drift into it and set the alarm off.
5 emergency exits that have alarms on it but are all locked because of customers hitting them and walking out with merchandise. Always thought an emergency exit was to be unlocked for emergencies.
6 cutting tool, parts of key retailing and ELMS.
7 Management that demands high expectations but unwilling to do the write-up when needed to correct problems.
8 Equipment that is older than my one meat cutter than is 22 years old.
9 inconsistence on cutting people loose before there probation period in up when they know they got to go.
10 Inconsistency on what company wants done where it is one thing but interpreted differently by each
person that it is passed down to.
11 the constant belief that the customer is always right no matter what.

that is a few

Cheap a$s store managers or Zone Managers that won't find replacements after someone quits in a store. If theyre not replaced withing a few weeks, odds are they won't replace them. Shoving the workload over on the remaining. Then bitching about it not getting done.

THink about it, they wouldn't have been there in the first place if they weren't needed.

Okay anonymous need I remind you of one thing you have forgotten in your statement here?  Think about it. They will bitch about it not getting done but also will expect it done with no extra hours and no ovewr time to get it done too.

we have 2 exits on our back dock.  Both say "do not open/alarm will sound" but we only use one and of course it's the one farthest from the dock wells.. so whenever we get new drivers to the store they pound on the wrong door til someone can yell loud enough that they can hear and go around.  our hurr durr managment wouldn't put up a sign, that's not in elms.

department heads who hang out in the back and don't do their job.  No, they aren't talking about work, they've got their feet propped up; talking about sports..boring sports usually like basketball yuck

associate manager who criticizes employees for untucked shirts, not wearing a belt, while he or she is wearing sweat pants.

key retailing

corporate worms who can kindly GTFO!

lousy equipment:  every gun in the store beeps "low battery" as soon as you put a freshly charged battery in it.  The guns don't work right, they freeze all the time causing you to have to reboot which takes FOREVER!!! as if they don't want you to hurry.  I mean, what are you supposed to do when it reboots?

cheap ass DSD printer, circa 1987, jams up all the time...it's a japanese POS

Well, as a bagger, I find a lot of things to annoy me. I mean, people who put carts on top of the grass for one. What intelligent person would think that's a good idea? It's such a pain when they do that. Or when the cart receptacle is full an then they don't even bother putting it in the line of carts. They just push it next to it or just leave them there. The people who go to Kroger just infuriate me. NOW YOU FEEL THE BAGGER'S WRATH!

I will agree with you on that one. The guns as a piece of crap. But are you sure it is Japanese and not from China? The same piece of **** guns that we use are the same ones that Wal-Mart uses.

Wait a minute................................. got to wonder if there is a connection here between Wal-Mart and Kroger.
