I am an assistant grocery manager at a kroger sub division, I make $11.25 I found out the grocery manager makes $14.50. Why the huge pay difference, we do pretty much the same freaking thing this is bs
all companies do this instead of hiring 2 grocery managers they hire someone as an assistant even though its the same job doing this saves kroger around 1000-1500 Dollars a year. where does it go? the people upstairs line their alrealy fat pockets with it.
You guys must have a Sherri as well, all the over time pay we could be getting well it goes right to her, and she says she is actually working B.S. busy Ebaying.
we dont' have assitants.. we have backups.. who don't get any pay change, except for 2 weeks out of the year (or however many vacations the dept head has)
I am a deli backup and make around 5 dollars less an hour than my dept head, even though I do her job on a dialy basis and then my job as well.
She can't seem to finish trucks, so it's left for me to do the next day, as well as my job for that day. Our contract is up this year and compensation for backups will def be on my list of what will be dones..
