If you have a copy of your union contract (assuming your store is union), it should be in there.
For the record, meat is where all the money is. A head meat cutter makes almost a dollar more an hour than most department heads and the backup can make more than some of the minor department heads (dairy, frozen, night stock). A head meat cutter with overtime can make on par or more than a store manager and definitely more than a co-manager.
