Psycho girl strikes again ...now with mom & dad
Permalink

The original reason I came to this site was to ask about the crazy chick I work with. She has continued to talk nasty and call names to not only me but several other employees as well. She keeps threatening one girl on the front end more than the rest of us and because she won't respond to her (we all act as if she isn't there and ignore her) she flipped out last night. She constantly makes things up and I guess because the other girl wouldn't argue with her she called her mom and said SHE was being threatened and she couldn't take it any more. Enter psycho mom... the mom comes in screaming, cursing and threatening the employee. The manager had her thrown out, the police were called, reports written so forth and so on. Enter psycho dad... Dad comes in WHILE the cops are there shooting his flap until the cops tell him to either leave or be arrested. My problem is this: The managers made the girl AND the VICTIM go home and they were told they couldn't return until the store manager called them. Why was the victim punished? Can she get back pay for days missed? I think so but wanted to see what you all thought as well...

Cops are problem solvers, that's all. They mediate in a situation as best they're trained....they are not psychologists or social workers or state's attorneys or judges. All managers want to do is the same thing as you: do their jobs and go home. They need a freak show like this the way you and I need a colostemy bag.

No, I think your friend is out of luck on this one.

The cops could see the whole fan-damily was nuts and told her to file charges against her...which she did this morning. but now I've gotten word that they are going to fire the victim! I'm just flabbergasted!

most places will do this, punish both people, just to make it easier, don't have to figure out whos right, whos wrong.

you get into a fight, when someione else starts it, and your just defending yourself, your still canned for fighting. guess your suppossed to be a punching bag. iv'e seen it happen.

knew  a guy that got fired, when the night stock manager threw a pallet at him, was grabbing anouth, and dude tackeled him. he got fired for fighting. they said he "should have left, and reported it to management"

yeah, turn your back, on a guy throwing pallets, and get smacked.

the trower, by the way, still has HIS job, because he claims the other guy used a racial slur against his half mexican heritageevileye

There should be video of the incident and human resources should get involved,if not the district manager.

Yes, she asked for a copy of the video so she could prove what happened but they wouldn't give it to her. They have both been suspended pending investigation. Investigation of what? They have the whole damn thing right in front of them on video! I just don't see how they justify victimizing her all over again by suspending her.

hey Oboro - were you there when this incident happened?  What did the 'victim' do when the mother came in. what did she do when the father came in?  i'm just wondering?

if I was her, I would immediately go ask for an "open door" meeting with the store manager.  he/she does have an open door policy in place right? she should go in and explain to him/her what happened.  also she should put in writing what happened making sure it does not incriminate her for any inproper behavior.  if you and some other cashiers and front end staff have the cahoonas - submit to them your account of the incident.

as time passes, things seem to get lost under the rug.  heck in a few days then weeks nobody will even remember all this AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT MANAGEMENT WANTS.  So speak up and fix the problem now while the sore is still healing...

Yes I was supervising. We ALL submitted statements, even the man who was filing out a form for a new Kplus card! The victim did not respond to them at all. She wanted to but every time I saw her open her mouth I told her to shut up lol
