The first thing you need to do is see a doctor.  The doctor will decide whether or not you need to be off from work.

what do you mean by sick leave??  do you want to get paid and stay at home  OR  just take several days off to get your wrist back in shape.

Don't expect any compensation from kroger.  It didnt happen at work did it and if it did was an incident report filled out?  if not just go to your doctor and have him say you are unable to work for the time being.

wrist is fractured and have a cast up to my elbow. i can do light work with my other arm. however kroger wont let me work until a doctor says i can. i worked a day and a half before they bothered telling me this. so going back to patient first tomorrow to get "released". :/

the reason i asked of sick leave because i wasnt sure if theyd find work for me or let me do anything. you break one arm they act like your whole body is broken. also a lady had in the past gotten a hip replacement and they paid her while she was out, which was 6 months and it wasnt work related. so how does that work?

Im going to take off for 3 weeks for medical issues. I'm going to let my doctor know that I usually have to clean up and my feet get wet during this time. I'm going to have to have both my left and right big toenail removed completely. :(

She was out on Medical leave.

I think it is filled out thru the union.  Ask your union rep or call the union office for paperwork.  Might be thru Human Resources.  If no union, ask your store manager/HR for paperwork.

For our contract, we have to be out of work for a week.  Only get paid if we are out of work after the first week.  No sick leave pay for the first week.  It is a percentage of your regular pay like unemployment.

PS, the doctor might put you on light duty until healed.  Yes, the manager might find light duty work for you in the store.
