 In our zone they closed 2 stores so we have many extra people wanting hrs all over in the city. In my store the floral lead is on sick leave and I am taking a weeks vacation which i am the bakery head rumors are they are replacing but of us. Is this legal?

I heard that it is.

Check you contract.  My contract says: "In the case of a store closing or burnout, employees may exercise their seniority to displace the least senior employee in their classification in their seniority area and then in the bargaining unit."  This means if you have the least amount of seniority out of all the bakery department heads then yes, the bakery department head from the store that closed can replace you.

yes it reads that but not concerning head of depts. Maagement sais its a given to whom they think for someone with 2 years can have it oer a senior employee.

dept head are xempt from senority. so a dept head keeps his hours, over someone with higher senority, but lower in rank
