How many of yous work in retail and when a page comes over the intercom, you and a co-worker plays paper, rock, sissors to see who is going to answer the call?
And don't you just love it when you work for a company that has customer service and they can't help the customer so they page someone in another dept to lend a hand when customer service could of answered the customers question!
Plus working for a retail company that has to many managers that don't know what the left hand is doing from the right hand, and not enough employees to get the work done in a timely matter!
As someone who works the customer service desk I just have a few questions for you... Do you seriously think I know weather the meat department will cut a slab of beef a certain way for a customer? Should I also know weather drug gm has certain gazebos, swings and gliders in stock? Why would I know when the produce truck arrives? How could I know if the person who runs Nature's Market can order a specialty item for a customer?
Do you think I should know about every single intricate part and parcel in the entire store AND run faxes, western unions, refunds, exchanges, bag, cashier, get breaks out (inside and at fuel), do accounting, and take complaints about snot nosed butt wipes like you who avoid doing as much work as possible and treat our customers like crap?
Just wondering...

the statement about management is true thou. we had way to many cheifs, not enough indians, and you honstly would get contradicting orders, from different managers, because they wern't on the same page, or even up to date as to new policy.
the page over the PA is true too. i page someone, i wait, and wait, page again, and you KNOW they heard you, they just don't want to stop their conversation with bob, and sipping their coffie, they went over to starbucks to get, on the clock

I agree with that too. 100%! I was just so taken aback by the other remark I forgot to add that. lol

the problem with management (co's) is that too many of them are straight out of college and somehow go to a job fair and wind up getting a position at kroger. they do not understand the difference between 'text book' management and 'real world' management.

well thanks there barada!
yea they really dont and its a crying shame. i dont know how many times i personally have been involved in a 'situation' with a young relatively new co-manager who just seems to really not get the BIGGER PICTURE of things. You stand there and present your arguement to them and then they give theirs and its like --- say what??? Do you all know what i mean!
then all you want to do is smack them in the head and say 'are you for ****in' real'. it really is a damn shame that they just can not take their blinders off for that moment and all the sudden have some sort of spiritual epithany and go 'ooooOOoo yea i see what you mean. ok then well cool, carry on." those moments will hit them maybe 25 years from now when they ripen on the vine of life a little bit longer.
now you take all those situation moments that these co's have every day with me then with you then with sally then with joe and with customer don then you add them all up for the day then you move on to the next day and add those situational moments up and soon you got one messed up store. does that make a bit of sence? Wow! I am so prophetic at time arent I.... LMFAO
