Any know what the "break" policy says?... new rumors spreading that if you work a 6 1/2 hr shift.. & your lunch is in the middle of the shift.. you get no break?.. for example working from 12-6:30 ( w/ 1/2 hr lunch) so if lunch is at 3 (middle of shift) you get no break.. but if your lunch is at say 2:30-3, you get your lunch and a break....
during an 8 hour shift you get 2 breaks and a 30 mins. lunch
6 1/2 hour shift you should get two breaks and no lunch
if not really sure check with your state labor laws.
Anything scheduled for X + 1/2 hours counts as you getting a lunch. That's why 5hour shifts aren't 5 1/2 hours... because you don't get a non paid lunch.

A six and a half hour shift with a lunch is stupid. I've worked for Kroger for over 20 years and I've never heard of anybody getting that kind of shift. Either schedule six hours or fewer or schedule eight hours plus a lunch.
