Tag Changes
Permalink

So the new ad comes out for Thursday. We get in the tags to change, however, they are ALL out of order! Usually they are sorted by aisle and department. None of the tags had the location system numbers on it. I find out that they are actually sorted by thier UPC number, in order increasing in number. This made this extremely hard especially for the health and beauty aid products where the description on the tag is so hard to read! SUCKED!

lolololol we are getting so spoiled by our new tags. Remember not too long ago we had to sit and sort tags ourselves. Put them in number order, put them in aisle number, put them in order of the aisle etc.

We get so many repeating tags. Sometimes we don't need the freakin' tags, but we gotta compare just in case something change maybe a MSI or date.

You shouldn't be matching descriptions to hang tags. You need to do last four UPC and in the HBA make sure your MSI numbers match. Descriptions change very often.

Yeah we do use the UPC numbers to figure which tag goes with which product. Not sure what exactly the system is you are talking about cause I dont know the exact names for things, but the 3 numbers that tell you the section, shelf number, and item number, was not on any of the tags. So in general it was hard to find the item to begin with if you didnt know where something specific was at.

That's really weird. I would call your District/Zone Coordinator and report that, as it shouldn't happen.
