I've been meaning to get on here in awhile. I talked to the FS that snapped on me that day. We actually do get along. It seemed she was feeling the same way the rest of the store was that day. I found out that the bagger that was going out after me went on break at the same time I was scheduled to clock out for the day. That's no biggie for me. I would have went back out until that bagger got back. I also found out that a rule is going to be enforced. Any bagger that didn't clear the lot will be wrote up. The lazy bagger got what was deserved.

"Clearing the lot" seems like a heavy order to ask for. You can clear the place but in 30 seconds there are carts in various places and you just cleared it! It's a rough road I tell you and you might even get written up (if it's even enforceable). I can be outside for 8 hours strait and the lot never fully get cleared, because of holiday crowds and such, for more than 15mins at a time.

In any case I hope your job gets more tolerable. Best of luck!

Exactly. Even in a Kroger non super center, the job is never really done. That's why there are multiple shifts~

That's true. The baggers that do the job will probably be done with about 10 or 12 carts left for the next one. The lazy baggers will leave half the cart count.

Aldi is the the best at this.  You put 25¢ in the cart machine to dispense a shopping cart.  off you go to get your groceries. when you are done you take the cart back to the machine and lock it back into place.  you get your quarter back.

no need for lot boys and a relatively cart free lot allllll daaayyyyy looonnnngg

I don't know.... I don't think the risk vs reward is high enough. Make it pay out .50 on a cart return. THEN you'll put me out of a job!

At our Kroger, the drivers act like the parking lot is a racetrack, so I really don't think that writing up a bagger that doesn't clear the lot is fair. However, the supervisor can find out why they are not clearing the lot, and act on that. Anyone caught goofing off on their lot hour should be written up.
