I am a full time Kroger employee, and our store has been making "changes" in schedule and they hired a person to replace me in my department who used to work for the store, but quit. They are giving him my position and there has been talk that management is going to knock me to part time. I need the money because I am having a child in a few weeks, and my manager said "We will use backhanded methods if necessary." I need to know my rights as a full time employee, and trying to find someone who knows all of the rights of a full time employee is difficult.
One way I know is if a store closes and a full time person has their position taken by a more senior full timer. Basically it's getting bumped back to part time.
Stop asking questions about this issue here, and contact your union RIGHT AWAY. This isn't something to just twiddle your thumbs over. It isn't anything you can do. What they are doing is WRONG and your Union needs to be made aware of it NOW, so that if something does come of it, they have had documentation to help your case.

conflict, for preferred shifts and preferred days off.

rated job will be entitled to the next higher rate in that classification.
Any employee who replaces a Department Head for a period of one (1) week or
more will be entitled to that Department Head's current rate of pay, or the next

available to work and then to part-time employees who are scheduled less than
twenty-eight (28) hours and are available to work.
If the additional hours are less than the call-in guarantee, they will be offered to
employees at work who are available. If hours are equal or greater than the call-in
