No using self checkout wont affect posted elms scores, though you can post your elms scores they are usually horrible because customers arent too amazing

With the way the self-checkouts are designed, it's impossible to go fast.
"Please place the item in the bag."
"Please wait for customer assistace."
"Please remove the item from the bag and scan it."
"Please place the item back in the bag."
"Please place the item on the scanner and wait."
Don't get me started on how those carousel bag racks are overstuffed with so many plastic bags that it's impossible to get a bag to stay upright. Trying to bag 2 liter soft drinks or boxes of cereal in those things is impossible. Everything justs falls over and out on to the floor.
When you do 'no sale, 96, sign on' after you've been on u-scan your items per minute etc will be lowered, but at the end of the day the time spent on u-scan does not count towards your elms score or ring tender. the computer they use only calculates and records your ring tender from the registers so it can accurately average your weekly ring time.
('no sale 96 sign on' averages ring time from all registers and uscan, the elms report only uses ring tender from registers)
I think that there should be an accurate reading on what a 'no 96 sign on' shows, instead of that little rinky dink 'items per minute' (which is not accurate anyway), tender time, and customers per hour. I think that it should show what the efficiency rating is as well. Also, if U-Scan is not supposed to affect ELMS, then don't have it affect what it shows on the 'no sale 96 sign on'. That's my 2 cents for today. Guess I'll just put it back in my till, cause upper management never listens to us anyway.
It had about 7 or 8 variables such as "earned hours" "customers per hour" "tender time" "items per minute" "signons/signoffs per hour". I am not sure what the actual formula was. Apparently, you have to have so much time logged per week "earned hours" to be scored for the top 25, and no more than 2 signoffs per hour. I am not sure how the customer count factors into this.
