i dont mean rotating, they have a specific rule for milk, that there can not be more than two dates on the shelf. i just need to know if that rule applies for one column of the milk, or the whole type of milk on the shelf, the 1%, skim and so forth.

 

say there is sep 10 and 12 up for 2%, you cant put up a sep 14 untill the all of the 10 is bought.

two dates for your whole stock of a specific color. Top should be your older dates and bottom should be your newer dates.

If one date is running to the point of having a third date (assuming you're rotating properly) the oldest date is probably ready to be marked down.

It means no more than two dates on any one particular item.  There should only be two dates on your 1 gallon Kroger skim milk.  There should only be two dates on your half gallon Kroger skim milk.  There should only be two dates on your 1 gallon Dean's 2% milk. etc.
